First you have to call an internet provider, give your name and address, and a CD will be mailed to you.

Insert the CD in your CD/ROM. It will probably autoplay. If it doesn't, click Start, Run, then indicate the name of the drive that contains the CD (usually D).

Prompts for dialup are pretty easy and if you run into any problem, there is usually a telephone number to call for help.

You can probably find a list of providers in the phone book and as for price, they're pretty much the same - about $10 a month.

Most ISP's have a install disc that does it for you. But to manually do it.

Open I.E, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, Add, then follow directions.

You will need ISP's dial up numbers and your sign in name and password.
