i agree. i think it makes you realize how fortunate you are. this past summer my mom had surgery, and then about 3 weeks later she was in an accident that could seriously have killed her. my sisters and i [we are 14, 12 and 11 im the oldest] saw the entire thing and it truly brings tears to my eyes to this very moment. i am very fortunate to have her still in my life and i dont know what i would do without her. she tore many ligaments in her knee. my friends mom was in the same accident and she broke 6 vertabraes in her back but thank god she is not paralyzed. my sisters and i took care of my mom the entire summer, giving it all up for her. my father sadly has not really been home, he has been vacationing a lot recently. so thank you very much for the eye opener. i truly appreciate it. =]
