yes,he is his own man and even goes against GOP to do what he thinks is right,a no non sense kinda guy,I wasn't sure what kind of Governor he would be,but it seems the people from CA seem to like him,not to mention he is more willing to work with the democrats and compromise on things,wish I could say that about SOME gop leaders.

Either he is a good actor or he acts "good".
That will satisfy most people.
I think he appears to be a genuinely nice guy with strong principles but shaky standards. If he didn't have to deal with California, he would do just fine, but he can't deal with a CRAZY State.

Not from California,,,,but he seems to do what he thinks right even if it goes against the GOP party line. People like someone who can form his own opinions even if they dont agree with them
