Please answer!!! I dont know what to do!!!

No matter what kind of deodorant-anti-persperant i wear, i still sweat!!!

I have used dove, secret, mitchum, secret CLINICAL strenght.

And some of you may say that i should get something perscribed from my docter but secret clinical strenght and mitchum have the highest active ingridient so a doctor cant help.

WHat should i do???

Do you think this stage will pass???
Im 12 years old and my sweaty armpits are holding me back from being more active in school, aroung my friends and family.

Do you think it may be my technic of putting on deoderant????

please answer.

thanks in advance.

your hormones are raging!!! your body is going nuts, its normal. I you wash before school and spray your deo on when your armpits are dry dont worry. If you're still worried, try deoderant wipes, take them to school with you x

My daughter had the same problem all through her teenage years. She's now 23 and it's just recently stopped being a problem. When it was at its worst, she used Certain Dri. You can buy it over the counter from a drugstore, it's a little pricey (about $6. on sale) but it works. I used it for a while so I know it REALLY works...seemed like when I had it on, I didn't sweat! You use it a little differently than deodorant, but the change is worth it. As she got a little older, late teens she switched to Degree, and was happy with that also.
I know it's stressful and embarrassing but I PROMISE it will be ok. If absolutely nothing works it may be time to consult a dr. for options. The Botox does work, and my guess is this is something that will eventually straighten itself out. I'm sorry you have to go through this, Sweetie, but this too will pass. Don't let it stop you from being active...being unhealthy is worse than being sweaty...good luck!

First of all, I think that you're wrong about a doctor not being able to help. Your doctor can perscribe the right deoderant for YOU. Secret Clinical is for the public...you should go to a doctor, he or she really will help you. I used to have a sweating problem also, I changed to Secret Scent Expressions, Vanilla Chai. It smells amazing and it works great for me. Sometimes you'll sweat more often due to your hormones. I think that this stage will eventually pass. Talk to your parents about it! Tell them everything you said in this question, and they should understand. Good luck.

well, you could try wearing clothes so that it won't show as much, and wear body spray so that it doesn't smell bad. Don't worry, the stage will pass. I hardly sweat besides in PE, and i don't really have to wear deodorant- i'm a few years older than you-

i use Suave, and it worked better than all the other ones i've tried. THe best scents are 'sweet pea and violet' and cucmber melon'. HOWEVER, when i washed my clothes, some of them turned up with little white smudges, and they were only on the ones i wore that deoderant with. So, put your deoderant on before your shirts, and try not to get any on it. Ps, i got the clear version of Suave, but i don't know if their normal version will do that.

anyway, goodluck! don't worry about it too much, and don't be so selfcontious- i've even seen Seniors (girls) that you could tell were sweating.

just a suggestion, don't give out your age- better safe than sorry... just so you know. :)

Oh, I'm soooooo sorry! Been in your shoes, er, pits. Yes, it does stop but you'll always be using the stronger products. Right now it's the darn hormones.

I used Mitchum twice a day, 12 hours apart......and another product no longer on the market. (I still use Mitchum or Arid Ultr Dry but once a day......and I'm old enough to be your grandmother)

I also had to wear underarm shields (was that embarassing!!!) They have two types, one fits over your bra...terrible when you are dressing after gym in front of all the other girls). The other type you pin onto your clothes...think of shoulder pads under your arms. One doesn't wear sleeveless clothes until this problem goes away with age.....like a few more years.

Good a Google search for dress shields, here's one site: http://www.kleinertsshields.com/?OVRAW=underarm%20shields&OVKEY=underarm%20shields&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=851925021&OVKWID=57669121521

Try Certain Dry. Follow the directions exactly. I had the same problem and it's the only stuff that worked for me. You use it at night before you go to sleep. In the morning I put on regular deoderant (I like Dove because it also softens skin and smells lovely) for extra protection. Worked great for me!

My niece and my son had the WORST smelling b.o. at age 12. My dog also smelled the worst when he was going through puberty. Don't worry it's normal (at least for some of us). The smell will die down as you mature, and reach an "acceptable" level, when the deoderants WILL work. And at least you care! My son and niece didn't give a darn! it's just your hormones working overtime during this change in your body chemistry. Your doctor can reassure you about this.

The only way to put deodorant on properly is like everybody else, on your pits. You may have a medical condition and will probably need a doctor's advice.
