I don't think being gay is wrong. It's different, but not wrong.
I think many people think it is wrong for at least one of the following reasons:
*They were raised in a homophobic family/community, i.e., it is passed down through a generation.
*They really don't find their own sex attractive, and hence they just don't relate to being gay, don't understand it, and just hate it. (Being afraid of anything different)
*Religion.
*They think sex should only be for procreation.
Of course, there could be other reasons.

In the words of the song, "I am what I am, and what I am need no excuses..."
Homosexuality is not a sin, and it's not wrong; It's a natural variation in human sexuality.
Because it's a minor variation, and also because a few people with their own agendas decided to rewrite a holy Book, many people over the years have been persuaded that it's something evil, or a mental disorder. Fortunately, these people are rapidly becoming a minority of their own; it's quite possible that within your lifetime they will be regarded as eccentric throwbacks.
(Oh, and just for information; 'feminine gay guys' don't 'get sex changes'; transsexual people do. Not the same thing)

Homosexuality is a normal variation of life. I agree, that the whole gay sin thing is a joke. We were not made this way just to be tossed into hell. Most religious people I have met are self absorbed idiots. They fear what they don't understand and use it to lash out at gay people. I would hate to be a miserable religious person. You can believe in God,Buddha or whatever you like, but when you go passing judgment on other people, THAT IS SINFUL! In fact, in my opinion, it is downright BLASPHEMOUS! These people are saying they know what God is saying. That is just so sick and wrong. No man is righteous, therefore, no man can judge another!
There you have it, my opinion!

Homosexuality isn't a sin. People just fear what they don't understand, another part of human nature. I know straight people who cannot for the life of them understand why anyone would want to be with someone of the same sex, and from that view the idea of homosexuality being a sin was created. The bible is just the views of a group of people inposed onto the world, by way of a God created to explain things they themselves cannot, hence there are so many inconsistencies.
Seriously though, never be afraid to be who you are, because those who matter will love you for it, and those who don't like it won't matter. :)
Best of luck, and trust me, it gets easier!

Hey there regular guy. I think that once you mature and get a wider view of this world, that you will discover that you won't be scared anymore. However, if you live around bigoted people, and from what you said I think you do, I would be cautious, stay in school, put in my time to get a degree, and then move somewhere nice and start living life the way you choose. In the meantime, check out what life is like in different places.
For a start, try this website in England to see a different viewpoint on some gay issues.
Look to the future when it will be your time to be in charge of your own life, and good luck!

You're among friends here, this is the LGBT section. There's nothing wrong with you, don't let anyone convince you there is.
You don't have to make an important service announcement to your family "Hey, I just wanted to tell you all, I'm Gay". Why tell anyone? Just be yourself, eventually, they'll figure it out.
I'm an atheist so the sin thing is not my thing. I don't know for sure why we are considered "Bad". But it is so much fun being bad. When you get older and more opportunities open up to you, you will find the LGBT community waiting for you.

You answered your own question. It's not wrong. God made you that way. However, it will take time for people who are not gay to accept this. Remember, this has been brainwashed into society for several hundreds of years. Change takes time. Learn the truth, and the truth will set you free.

People are ignorant, superstitious, and selfish. They don't want to think anything outside of their black and white safe zone.
Nothing is wrong with being gay. It's wonderful that two people can love each other no matter the gender.
I'm still unsure why people are so offended by it. Don't they have anything better to do than stew in their hatred for homosexuality?

It is not wrong to be gay. You are a unique person, and when you are old enough to be out in the world, you will find that you are a wonderful guy. Many will find you that way too. Be patient, don't push your lifestyle on others.
People say it is bad to be gay because they don't like anyone or anything that is different than them or thier ideas.
