My husband left a red pen in some shorts and it did the same thing. I went and bought 10 bottle of rubbing alcohol and soaked the load in a bucket for 4 hours and then washed everything again. I also used the rubbing alcohol to get the ink off the inside of the dryer as well.

The ONLY thing I have found to take out ink is a product you can find at fabric stores (like JoAnn Fabrics) called Magic Wand. Now I can't guarantee it will work since you've washed it, but you can give it a try.

Yipes!

Rit dye has a color remover, sold right next to the Rit dyes in the grocery and general purpose store: WalMart/Walgreen, etc. Maybe it would work.

Second thought is Lift Off by Motsenbocker. (Ace Hardware type places)I don't know what number to suggest.

Sounds like a disaster!
