Our yard is beginning to be invaded by spiders & I can't stand it! Don't ask me what kind but there are big & small ones. The big spiders spin humongous webs near my front porch...So we have to be careful not to walk into it at night! It's horrible!!! Are there any good home remedies for killing spiders?

I don't know about other spiders, but I know how to kill black widows. Spray straight amonia towards the base of your house. Make sure that there are no pets, or kids, etc., around when you do this. The amonia pulls the black widows out and the fumes kill them. Good luck. I hate spiders too!!!!

If you don't have babies or young children crawling around, you may want to try Sevin Dust. It can be applied directly to fruits and vegetables and healthy adult dogs and cats (meaning it's not too toxic). I've applied it from a shaker can to home carpeting as well as dog kennel areas that were flea infested. Leave it down on carpet all day or overnight and then vacuum. Make sure your Vacuum Cleaner bag is new or empty before vacumming, that way the dust will stay inside and continue to kill any flea eggs that get sucked up in the future. Sevin dust kills all sorts of bugs, and more than likely Spiders too. It may solve all your pest problems and at $10.00 for a 5 pound bag, it's alot cheaper than professional pest control. other than a shoe or fly swatter? natural or synthetic? usually anything that messes with their breathing will keep them away. moth balls, house perfumes,etc. stuff like raid is mostly perfume and oil with a little poison. usually the oil suffocates them.
