I'm a A-Rod fan. I love him and I will be heart broken if he leaves. I think that he will win the MVP for sure, without A-Rod we would'nt have made it to the playoffs. I think that if the Yankees made it deeper in the postseason that A-Rod would have caught fire. Have you notice how many popups he hit this series? Maybe around 10. Popups usually indicate that a hitter is just late on the pitch. If he wasn't its usually a HR. A-Rod was getting his timing at the end. He almost had a 2nd HR in the 9th. Getting back to the question, I think that A-Rod will not opt out of his contract. I think that this offseason, A-Rod will cement himself as a true Yankee, a player of elite status who does'nt care about the money but rather about wearing the pinstripes and fulling that everlasting goal of a championship. In fact, even though he'll never do it, Derek Jeter has a better chance of opting out for the money. Im saying this because Jeter has way more endorsements than A-Rod. It would be the perfect scenario, the MVP, our leader, giving up millions of dollars to stay and win that championship. But should A-Rod opt out (Damn you Scot Boras), Steinbrenner will sign him. I really think that the only thing that Cash has done right is trade for A-Rod. He was told to get David Ortiz for Nick Green by Steinbrenner but he did'nt. The reason we didn't win is not Torre, not Steinbrenner, but Cashman. He's the reason we were eliminated. He didn't do anything at the trade deadline and basically screwed us over. But I have to say valiant effort by the Yanks. A-Rod stays and wins MVP.

With the numbers he put up added with the fact he made the playoffs he will win, if he missed the playoffs it might have gone to Magglio since no Yanks would've meant playoffs for the Tigers. (Remember in 2002 he led the majors in almost every offensive category but lost MVP to Miguel Tejada whos numbers were no where near ARod's, just a higher batting average, but he carried his team into the playoffs).
As for him opting out of his contract, its been rumored he already has pretty much decided that he would. He hasn't really been embraced by Yankee fans too much. Plus his decision will probably depend on who stays. We already know Rivera has chosen free agency, Posada will probably follow. Pettitte can opt out as well. Ultimately it'll be if Torre stays or not. Pettitte will probably stay and Posada will think twice if they do bring back Torre. Torre is a great manager, and a smart man (and I hate the Yankees, but you gotta give the respect where it is due). Steinbrenner would be an idiot to let him go. Howabout try building a team that actually wants to play like a team than getting a bunch of egotistacle stars.

I relatively would desire to accept as true with A-Rod triumphing the MVP. i admire the Runs Produced stat which isn't used too often. (R+RBI-HR) Tells how lots of the communities runs they the two drove in or scored, subtracting homers so as that the run isn't counted two times. And actually, stolen bases and extreme batting typical bring about greater runs and RBIs. With this formulation listed under are my precise 5 gamers, all taking part in on triumphing communities with a minimum of playoff opportunities. Alex Rodriguez-217 Runs Produced Magglio Ordonez-202 Bobby Abreu-183 Vladimir Guerrero-177 David Ortiz-171 (Stats by Sept. 8, 2007)

I think there may be a chance he re-signs with the Yankees, but I hope not. He is a regular season stud and a playoff sissy. I would like to see the Yankees sign him and then trade him to say the Angels for Chone Figgins and Jered Weaver or to the Cubs for Aramis Ramirez.
He will get the MVP for the league, but not for the Yankees. He busted on 'em again...

I think he will exercise his opt-out clause, yes.
That's not to say he won't stay with the Yankees.

How cute, you know his full name. Anyway, i think he will resign with the Yankees. Something about him and his love affair with drama tells me he will stay.
