Well Uncle Al might not call them pentacles but he does speak on the cards that would associate to them, the disks. That whirling emblem of earth, planets and atom. So the previous posts do have meaning.
Ace beginning, Coin, Pentacle, Disk. Earth, foundation, growth, and the material world. So this is a beginning of something that you can touch and feel. The cumulation of a thought into the physical. Birth. Flourishing in life.

Echoing what others have said but in my own words.
The suit of pentacles is associated with material, physical and earthly things. This is money, belongings and such. Aces are about things that are in the very first stages of development. It can be as simple as an idea. Aces are things new and beginnings.
Much of the detail of the Ace of Pentacle would depend up where it is placed in a reading, the question asked of the cards as well as the cards around it.

In "The Book of Thoth" (Egyptian Tarot) Aleister Crowley never writes of a Lesser Arcana of Pentacles.
However, the Lesser Arcana of Pentacles is spoken of in "The Rider Tarot Deck" Conceived by Arthur Edward Waite. The Ace of Pentacles is illustrated as A hand---issuing, as usual, from a cloud--Holds up a Pentacle.
Divinatory Meanings: Perfect Contentment, felicity, Ecstasy; also speedy intelligence; gold.
Reversed: The evil sidew of wealth, Bad intelligence, also great riches.
This is exactly the answer your question asked for... Where others got their information on pentacles I have no idea.

Ace of Pentacles
Aleister Crowley's description:
The Root of the Powers of Earth. Material gain. Power. Labor. Wealth. Contentment. Materiality in all senses. For Crowley, this card was an affirmation of the identity of sun and earth, spirit and flesh.

Depends what deck. Yeah, so you come up with your own definition of it, works better, for me its, coming in to new money or opportunity that has to do with money. With any aces, its a start of something new. It being pentacles would dictate money. All depends on surrounding cards.
