So I was going out with someone who we'll refer to as "A". So I used to really like him, but over the summer, things didn't go well, and I broke up with him last week. I still kinda like him, but that isn't even the main problem. I have been friends with his best friend "B" for a very very long time. I have come to realize that I really like him ("B"). I don't know if there is anyway that I can tell "B" how I feel withpout hurting either of them. I still care about "A" and am his friend, and obviously don't want to hurt his feelings, because that's mean. I don't know if this will cause a fight between "A" and "B", but I really love "B" and have a feeling he feels the same way about me, but I don't want our relationship to be ruined because I said something. I pretty much have no idea what to do. What. So. Ever. Any help is very much appreciated.

You broke up with him so you're free to do whatever you want. If you have feelings for A then you would be resentlful to go out with B now. Wait for your mind to clear up about your feelings because you can only satisfy one.

You need to wait at least 6 months. Without that time to heal for "A" than your interest in "B" would be nothing more than a slap in the face to "A" and if you went ahead with "B" now you would reduce the level of respect people have for you. You may not care what people think but doing this the right way can make a huge impact on the success of your relationship with "B".

Sad but true!

Go for it because if "A" and you are over even if he gets jealous tell him, " I don't want to hurt your feeling because you might still have feelings for me but I'm in love with"B" and i would still love to be your friend because i care about you". But if you still have feeling for "A" don't go for "B" just yet.

Men have few rules between themselves. Number one is you don't date your friends ex. Ever. How would you feel if "A" started dating your best friend?

i have been in the same situation! its really hard. you need to decide where your priorities lie. witch one do you want more. to date (B) or just stay friends. write out the pros's and con's of dating (B) see witch one weighs out the other. its a big decision and a hard one to make. good luck! hope everything goes well!
