Varicose veins are enlarged veins that are swollen and raised above the surface of the skin. They can be dark purple or blue, and look twisted and bulging. Varicose veins are commonly found on the backs of the calves or on the inside of the leg. They develop when valves in the veins that allow blood to flow toward the heart stop working properly. As a result, blood pools in the veins and causes them to get larger.

I am beginning to see some signs of them on my legs because I wear heels a lot at work and that is not good and that also causes a lot of them.

some yes, they are sometimes hereditary . They are casued by the valves in the veins becoming weak then blood can leak back into the vein , collecting there. This enlarges the vein and it becomes a varicose vein . Exposure to the sun can also cause spider veins

I do, and I have varicose veins.

Spider veins form from small surface veins (capillaries) that rupture. Reasons for the rupture range, Most common are caused by being overweight and standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces.

No, but usually they are from pressure on the veins. Like standing long periods of time or sitting with your legs crossed.
