The actions of the Democratic party have always demanded that their patriotism be questioned. They tried their best to lose the Cold War and now they want to lose to Al Qaeda.

Like why did Bush ignore national security and terrorism until AFTER we were attacked?
Like why did the FBI have the 20th hijacker Moussaoui in custody for weeks before 911 and not foil the plot?

Certainly. As when a public figure like Bush authorizes torture and warrentless spying on law-abiding Americans in violation of the Constitution. He--and those who support him--aren't patriotic-by definition.

No, there are not really such times. One's patriotism is not a matter of judgement. There are acts which could be called treasonous or disloyal, but each person has a right to act in any way they see fit as long as it does not infringe on others' rights.

Only if they hold public office, like the supreme court did today, by rejecting a legitimate claim against the U.S. government.
