Collecting Money From Somebody?

Is it legal for a person to hire me to collect a dept from somebody that he/she has lent it to?

Basically I would be requesting money by send letter / giving an occational phone call.

Somebody mentioned harrasment, if I do it durring day time hours, and do not keep calling the person a million times, can it really be harasment?

just got to the door early in the morning, preferably armed with a sawed off or submachine gun and ask for the cash plus a collections fee, usually works
