My husband only tells me he loves me if i say it first and I feel he is not as afectionate as he was before only if he is drinking he acts all lovey with me and tells me he loves me and misses me and is soo nice is it maybe he does not really love me anymore?

when he is sober..is when u want to hear it..
think about this.. ?
have a long talk.. and decide if this is what u want for the remainder of ur life....
perhaps he needs a waking up.. to what is going on.. and not take u for granted.. good luck..

Alcohol is very dangerous for any relaltionship. Love is not dead, his thing is dead from the alcohol. Plus, many men also get violent from it too. So, you're lucky if all he does is answer your I Love You's with I Love You too. It's not soo much that he doesn't love you anymore it's that he's an alcoholic and can't help himself. It's important that he and you get professional help to get him away from his heavy drinking before matters get much worse.

he loves you or he wouldn't have married you but now is the time to not worry about the words since some men have a hard time saying them, but try to do things together to show that love. Find a mutual interest and do it, whether it is fishing, dinner or the movies. Don't surrender the romance to the routine now that you are married because the routine will fine you and you have to find the romance in the things you do together.

Maybe he is just not a very affectionate person.
That or he is out of the "lovey dovey" phase. He knows you are going to be there through thick and thin and doesn't feel the need to smother you with affection like he once did.
I would sit down and talk to him about it. Tell him you like it when he is affectionate with you because it makes you feel special. See what he has to say about it.

His love for you may not be dead, but he may not be a very affectionate person except when his in drinking. Do you need to be told that he loves you every day?

If you pick something apart enough you can make it what you want. If you think he's not in love and you pick at it you will see he's not in love. If men went around questioning everything you ladies did to see if you loved us, we'd be running ourselves in circles. Good Luck

talk to him we don't know your husband to say the right thing ,but I think he loves you don't be clingy.
