I would do the trade as long as you need a good QB. Steve Smith's value just took a huge hit as Jake Delhomme went down for the season.

No. Steve Smith with a bad quarterback is still a great wr. Eli Manning is an average quarterback, the only way you should do this is if you have no quarterback and you have 2 or 3 receivers that are great ie Chad Johnson, T.O., Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison. I just can't imagine being this desperate for a qb. If you really are, try to find a better qb to trade for. Steve Smith has had 2 bad games this season, but he is still a stud in fantasy football.

Depends on your depth at those positions. If your current QB sucks and you have plenty of weapons at WR, make the trade. Smith isn't the guy he was with Delhomme under center. But, he still has potential (he may become a safety valve with Carolina's #3 QB in the game). Manning is very erratic, looking like Peyton one week and Jughead the next.
Unless you really need the help at QB and have other good WRs, I wouldn't make the trade.

no no no smith isn't the same wideout with carr at the QB position but he still holds alot of value. eli isn't enough for steve if i were you i would target kitna. kitna has been lights out all year except for last week and because of that you might be able to buy him low.

Depends on the rest of your team. But given that you have either Carr or some rookie as the QB, I'd look into this if my own QB was a poor one.
