Bank of England notes max at £50, but here in Scotland we have big pink £100 notes. Lovely, I want one!

As far as I was aware the highest in circulation in UK was £20 as £50 notes are not widely accepted. I believed that due to this that the £50 notes would be held in vaults alongside the £100 note.
If this isn't the case for £50 notes in England, well then it sure is in Scotland. £50 notes are treated with suspicion and usually rejected as payment to most suppliers and retailers.

The highest i have just looked up is £50.00 but The Bank Of Scotland do a £100.00 note which is used in Scotland and N Ireland, though you very rarely see them.

£100 pound note not in circulation though, in bank vaults only
They also have denominations up to the millons in 10's but they have no marking features so not much use to bank robbers are they?
