About a debate against gun control?

im doing a debate against gun control. and can someone give me some broad topics on what i should talk about?

it would be compared to making alcohol illegal in 1919 thru 1933, someone is going to make the product if it is over-controlled, like in new york city where violence is a way of life.in this country where everyone is discreetly scared of radical islamics, i feel more and more americans will start finding a way to carry firearms, all of the time and most police realize this and won't stop it

Not really, the USA already is the #1 producer and purchaser of firearms in the world and consequently the murder capital of the world. 1/2 of the firearms sold worldwide are purchased by Americans, some by collectors, many for so-called protection. As long as there is money to be made they will continue selling firearms and ammunition to the public. You should ask why anyone who's not a cop or in the military needs to own anything more then a shotgun/rifle. I think Chris Rock had the solution "If you raise the price of bullets to $1 million each, people would stop shooting each other".

The constitution states you have the right to bear arms. As long as your record is clean. Now a criminal by definiton is a person who breaks laws.

Now look if you took the guns away from the law abiding citizens, then that means only the criminals would have the guns. Why would someone want that to happen?
