My picture I chose was of a young child climbing either up or down tree house steps in a tutu, barefoot. This is what I wrote:

"MATTHEW CORNER!! GET BACK IN THIS HOUSE THIS INSTANT AND TAKE OFF YOUR SISTER'S TUTU!!!" screamed a woman with a Dixie twang to her voice out the back screen door.

"NO!!" screamed Matthew, a small blond child, about seven, scurrying up the tree house steps and sitting in its doorway.

"Matty, please come down." begged a girl wearing blue jeans from the bottom of the tree house steps.

"NO!!" he screamed.

"Please, Matty, I'll let you wear my pink jumper to church on Sunday." she said, grinning, knowing how much Matthew loved her pink jumper. However he still looked hesitant, so she added "And the matching handbag."

Matthew slowly climbed down the stairs and shouted "Geronimo!" as he jumped off the last step, as he ran off chasing his sister.

Good? Bad? Did it convey well enough that Matthew was most likely trans?

Please give me feedback

It's very good, I'd like to keep reading and I'm on Matty's side already. I'm not a teacher, but it seems you should pursue a writing career, you definitely have talent.

I think it is a positive story that conveys the innocence of childhood with the 'adult' questions of sexuality. It is nice that there is no open hostility or opposition to what the child is doing. It is not clear whether the mother is getting him out of the tutu because she thinks it is 'wrong' or because she regards it as playtime and she needs him to go to bed or go to school or do some other thing that perhaps requires him not to be running around in the tutu. It is nice that the sister clearly supports her brother and understands him in her way. She tries to keep the peace, yet at the same time conveys her love and respect for her brother.
All in all very nice and original whilst trying to get a serious point across without having to resort to out and out shock tactics!

Nice story.
I wouldn't say that at 7 Matthew is definitively trans. I have met lots of youngsters that just liked clothing and toys normally associated with the other gender - and they turned out to be straight.

But if you are trying to hint that this could be in his future, you have done this in a subtle and effective way. Congratulations!

Aw, I enjoyed that.

Yes, I think you conveyed that little Matthew was most likely trans quite well. Good job.

I thought it was alright.... Don't think it really conveyed that he was a transsexual.. If all it took to make someone transexual there'd be 1,000's more of them out there today if wearing their sisters clothes is all it took.
