I always thought they were grey. Or yellow if you think it's made out of cheese. It could be orange during a lunar exclipse. Haven't seen a lunar exclipse myself. With more information I could probably help more. Hope you find your answer.

does a moon look yellow? yes, when pollution gets so bad!

there are red moons, blue moons, even green moons! (sure about the first two)
