I thought the book Siddhartha was terrible. It's a book about a couple of Buddhists(with homosexual undertones) who live by the river and work as ferry mem. At least I still got an A on the report....

By far the worst book I ever had to write a report/review of was "The Reenchantment of the World" by Morris Berman. The book was nothing but a bunch of irrational nonsense.

"Giants In The Earth" by Rollvag. Even though I'm Norwegian by ancestry that book turned me off on the whole topic of Norwegians moving into the Upper Plains of the country. Even today, if a re-run of "Little House on the Prairie" comes on TV, I get waves of nausea. I can't remember my grade. It's a mental block.

I once got a "B" for a report on a Zane Gray western novel of which i cannot remember the name. All my other book reports came from "Classic Comics", or from my really smart younger sister.

I never liked any books that somebody else told me to read, most of them were dumb or boring to me. I've always enjoyed reading, but I like to pick my own books; teachers had no idea of what was interesting.
