Well prove it
They are a private security firm owned by former Navy SEAL Erik Prince
They provide security all around the world to FEMA workers in New Orleans after Katrina, serve as bodyguards to politicians (in both parties) when traveling overseas
So prove they are Bush's private army but do a little research before spewing ignorant hate

Something tells me Rep. Waxman would change his sanctimonious tune about Blackwater if he was in Iraq.

You must be young and very naive because you seem to think that this is something new and isolated only to the Bush administration. (just like a lot of things President Bush does that people think he was the only President to do it) They have been using private military contractors sense the Gulf war, probably even earlier. They just started gaining momentum under President Clinton and got more of a boost after 9-11 FYI, Blackwater was started in 1998, during the Clinton Administration, though Clinton mainly used DynCorp. (paid for by taxpayers!!!)

Hello andy g. Don't Tell nobody but they are my private army also. I watched hearings held by the senate last week on c-span. Kind of strange how the Dem's tell them what a GREAT JOB my army is doing and then turn around and attack them for protecting their selves. Sure why not after all it is my private army. THE DEM'S ARE JUST FULL OF BS.
So Long for now me & my Private army. (makes just as much sense, doesn't it.)

You are going to start finding more and more of that.
Don't look now but everytime a soldier or Marine kills someone they were just INNOCENT CIVILIANS not even involved in the war.
So Blackwater is NOT the only one catching it. Our soldiers and Marines are also.
Just like the other day when called in air support killed (I think it was what 15 or 16) And the mayor can out saying they had killed innocent people just running out to help the wounded.
I've one that to say about that B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T. AND MORE
B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T. .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Yes thats all just B.S! If congress wants to penalize Blackwater for doing the job its suppose to do then maybe they should put out and let the d#mn politicians provide their own security the next time they fly to Iraq for their photo-ops-- maybe that way we could replace some of the grand-standing bums

Well they're a private army in that they fight for whoever pays them. If China hired them to fight Taiwan, they could do it if they felt like it.
People call it Bush's private army because currently he is using them to fight in Iraq.
People don't like what Blackwater is doing because of several reasons. The biggest one is that according to the US government, Blackwater employees aren't subjected to dept of defense nor Iraqi laws. Also it goes without saying that they aren't subjected to American laws since, well, they aren't in America.
So now we have this huge force (more than the number of Army soldiers) in Iraq that are heavily armed and subject to no laws. Some of them allegedly killed innocent people and now the American and Iraqi government want them accountable.
I'm sure Blackwater does good, but in Iraq they probably should have to follow some laws.

Blackwater will become anybody's private army if they pay the bill. But, Bush isn't paying the bill. We are.
