For some reason, the Chiefs only handed the ball to Johnson 9 times. Maybe it's because he only got 12 yards on those carries. In his first 3 games, he got 43 yards on 10 attempts (4.3 yard avg), 55 yards on 16 attempts (3.4 yard avg), and 42 yards on 24 attempts (1.8 yard avg).

With KCs problems at QB (and I don't think Croyle is the answer), defenses are going to play the run and dare the Chiefs to pass. Maybe by around week 10 or 12 you might see Johnson getting over 100 yards a game again. And, even then, there's no guarantee he'll get in the end zone.

But, think of all the points you would have gotten from Peterson over that time (averaging over 100 all-purpose yards a game, 5.0 yards per carry, and a TD every couple of games). Not to mention the 80 or so yards per game that Cotchery is good for.

If you need help at receiver and some RB points now, make the trade. If the rest of your team is strong enough to win without making the trade, don't do it. You'll just be giving one of your opponents a late-season weapon that might come back around to bite you.

that's a pretty good question. i think i would do it. the difference to me between larry johnson right now and ladanian tomlinson is the reasons why each are not doing as good as they should. with tomlinson he himself has just been off along with adjusting to the new coaching staff, the other team stacking 8 in the box and not enough holes are being opened for tomlinson. with this, you know tomlinson will end up being himself again b/c they have good talent in their passing game and i think it will eventually come together which will open things up for tomlinson. also him and the offensive line are good but just not playing good and the coaching staff will be adjusted to. with larry johnson forever, their offensive line is nowhere near as good as they were b/c of injuries and aging. those are two problems that can't really be fixed. also to go along with that, i DON'T think kansas city's passing game will come alive enough for other teams to not stack 8 in the box. so yes i would do this trade b/c i think larry johnson will stay like this the whole year and adrain peterson and jerricho cotchery are good players who will get you more points than larry johnson.

ps. i feel your pain w/ larry johnson i have him in 2 outa 4 leagues.

KC's offense shows no sign of improving. It is easy to stop Johnson when he is the only one you have to worry about.

Adrian Peterson is only going to get better, and Cotchery has always put up better than average numbers.

yes johnson is doing horrible 1o yard on like 9 carries. Peterson is good and cotchery is a nu,ber 1 receiver.

Hell, yes!! If you can get Pederson for Johnson go for it. He will not break out. The KC Chiefs are on a downward spiral and getting worse. That great offensive line is old and tired now. So go get Pederson and he will get better as the season goes on. Fantasy football is scored by the numbers the players actually put up not he potential numbers they might put up.
