Is Hilary stupid enough to think that anyone in their right mind would vote for her?

Yeah that new DOW high will have us all unemployeed.
So who is really stupid here, I think a slow down would be nice so some of the youngsters could endure what I was forced to endure in the 80's. Oh the roiting and the gas lines and the joys of 15% interest on your home loans.
Things are great right now but the lazy under educated youth has been so spoiled they are saying how hard it is perhaps a slow down will show how hard things can be.

Lets see, we have "full employment", low inflation, record setting markets, low taxes, deficit is dropping.
Do you know what recession is?
Its a period marked by low growth due to low investment which results in higher unemployment. That is quite the opposite of what the Fed's minuets discussed today in fact the Fed stated that they could see more rate cuts in the near future which resulted in a 2nd day of record highs in the stock market.
Please, you people stop making fools of yourselfs. Learn more than your party lines. If you do that who knows what will happen maybe we would come together more often!

He's spouting exactly the staunch Republican line on it. The Repubs lack analytical and critical thinking skills that would reveal the fragility of the economy. They go strictly by gross aggregate numbers like 4.7% unemployment and then look in their Samuelson econ texts (you know, the one that's still used in colleges but has been outdated now for at least 25 years) and say, "See? That's frictional unemployment, so that's OK!"

I work in aerospace and see no decline either. As a matter of fact my company is hiring in more temps because across the board we have had record quarters and see an increase in orders. What's the matter, are you some idiot that can't hold down or shmuck that can't get a job?
The economy IS strong, stop searching for US failure and see the bigger picture.

I guess you know nothing of economcis. The economy is strong. No make that very strong. We have the lowest unemployment in 50 years, we have the highest home ownership ever, inflation is very low, revenues are at the highest they have ever been to the treasury, corporate proftis are high and even the sub-prime mortgage mess (loans that private companies shouldn't have made) is being absorbed by the enonomy. Oh, and stock market is at an all time high. I wonder in your eyes what a bad economy would be.

I don't know about stupid, but he's certainly pretty clueless. There's a reason why he avoids debates, just watch this one. I think he thinks that being "folksy" is going to win him the Presidency. Sorry Fred, Ronald Reagan you are NOT.

He is 100% CORRECT. The economy may experience slower growth, but a recession (consecutive quarters with negative GDP) will not happen.....at least for the foreseeable future. Stop believing everything you read in the NY Times Opinion pages.

He's the quintessential Republican. Truth is what you SAY it is, as far as Republicans are concerned.
I suppose as far as he is concerned, as long as there are no shortages of breast implants for the little woman, there's no recession.
Foreclosures left and right, millions of jobs gone overseas or to Mexico, the highest adjusted Unemployment rate in 45 years, but for Frankenberry Thompson, everything's just dandy.
FINALLY, a Republican candidate who's really in touch with ALL Americans.
