As you know JB Weld is a putty substance that gets rock har and you can drill it well, I recently had a minor leak on my transmission and now i have just made it worse i was told that there is some type of chemical that will melt the weld away. Is this true or am i bound to cave man tactics and chisel it off???

I have never heard of anything that will melt away JB weld. You are probably going to have to sand/chisel it away.

I used it to seal my transmission drain plug, and it worked great. You can grind or sand it off with a disk sander.

Captain caaaave maaaan.

Once it's cured, it's pretty much impervious to everything but a hammer, grinder, or blowtorch.
