Why does the Whitehouse continue to get in the way of National Security?

Exposing a CIA officer is an act of treason and it also exposed many others that were still under cover out in the field.
They exposed her to discredit her husnad Joe Wilson who had went to Niger and verified Saddam did not purchase components for WMD's like the Whitehouse said was the reason for the Iraq war. "Mushroom Clouds"

Now they have exposed a company who did nothing but research terror groups and the websites they use. This took the last seven years to develope and was an enormous tool in tracking chatter and video posts by Islamic extremists. Because of this al_Qaida is now silent on the net with little or no way of knowing what they are up to. The whole program has gone black.

How are we supposed to fight a war on terror when the Whitehouse keeps going out of its way to damage information capabilities.

America is no safer since 9/11, other thanthe fact that they put troops as targets in the Middle East

Valerie Plame wasn't a covert operative in the CIA. That's why no one was indicted or tried for revealing her identity. It didn't violate the law concerning keeping the identity of covert operatives a secret. In recent days, even her husband has admitted he interposed no objection to open revelation of her name by the newspaper columnist Robert Novak.
"Scooter" Libby was convicted of a violation of Title 10, Section 3001 of United States Code which makes it a felony for one federal officer to lie to another federal officer under oath. That's the same statute which sent most of the Watergate defendants to jail.
The White House didn't expose SITE's work. It was ABC and other media outlets who were so pre-orgasmic about a "scoop" that they didn't give one damn about national security.
