If you plan on having children then it is best to do so at an age where they will be on their own long before you retire. I have friends that can't retire at 65, because they have teenage children that they have to pay child support for. If they retire, then they can't afford the child support.

For some: There is a tiny explosive bomb that will go off and kill everyone in a 3 block radius, should they not be married and have contemplated children by a certain date. For others, many have had a Gypsy curse put on them as a youth that will cause them to grow antlers, should they not be married by a certain age.

I've never known anyone who was set on marriage before a certain age. Same for having kids.
The only thing I can think of, as far as kids go, is that it's harder to have them as a woman gets older.

I don't think its important, I think it's a couples agreement/wants. My husband and I got married a year and a half ago and we aren't going to have kids till we are about 28 to 30. I'm not done with school and he's in the military and we are possibly going to move overseas. I think it's just a personal preference.

Because people want to live their lives how they choose to. Honestly its something people need to make their own decisions about and not worry about what anyone else thinks. I got married when I was 18, I heard a million different ways that I was stupid, making a huge mistake and so on and so forth, but it was my life and my husbands life ( he was 21). So we got married that was nearly 6 years ago. Now im 24 hes 27 and we are working on having kids, because once again it is what we want. what we choose for our lives.

The older you get, the more "baggage" you collect, like STD's pregenancy, addictions, DUI's broken relationships, relations with married people, Sure this can happen while married, but less likely. After you get the baggage, you start looking for a mate, he/she has just as much baggage. To top it off, all the decent loving guys/girls have gotten married & are happy. While the others who wanted to wait until they are older, have to settle with less than the spouse they wanted or the love they dated & let go.

Because the older a woman gets (and her eggs get), the more likely there could be a potential genetic defect in her children.
Also, it's no fun being in Kindergarten, and your mom walks in and they think she's your grandmother.
Also, it's easier to run, play, and do things with kids when you're a little younger.

It's not... a man can pretty much wait til any age, and a woman can theoretically wait until she's around 40 (although this will make it harder to conceive). But, there's always adoption. I don't think it's ever a good idea to rush into marriage.

Because it is harder to raise kids (or play with your grand kids) after you get too old and fat.
Besides, you want to have college paid off before you retire.

Well for women we only have a few child bearing years and the younger you start the better it will go.
