One time I stupidly asked my friends, "What's that word for when you get your shoe laces tied together?" Of course there is no such word. If there was a word, what would it be? Make up a word that seems appropriate

Seems to me that the word " hobbled" is appropriate for this situation... know it refers to horses legs tied together to restrain them but, if you mean the laces from one shoe tied to the laces from the other shoe..it works for me !
