I learned to shrug this one off when I was a tiny tot because for some reason when I was a munchkin I liked President Nixon best; I no longer do but at that time he was not popular and several other kids said I was a fascist or Nazi because of it. Of course all I knew about those two terms came from the movies--they were the bad guys.
A very little study made my worries about it go away. At the same time as I learned that a garden-variety Republican has just about nothing in common with a fascist I also discovered that I didn't much like Nixon because I'm no fan of Keynesian 'economics.' I don't see how socialism lite is compatible with a Federalist Republic.
Of course now I can easily turn the fascist epithet around, because there are lots of Americans who believe almost everything the fascists (Italian variety, but not the Nazis) believed. They call themselves progressives these days.

Normally that wouldn't affect me. What I would do depends on my intention at the time of the incident. I would continue doing what I indended to do at that moment.
On the other hand, if I was called a fascist by a guy with a gun who's intention is to kill all fascists, I'd probably spend the next (or my last) few minutes trying to convince him he had the wrong man.

Laughter! A "facist"? What is a "facist"? Is it someone who is deeply into faces? Or is it someone who only likes the face side of coins? Is it someone who only likes face cards but hates number cards?
