I got married at 19 and again at 23. The problem with getting married young is that often you are getting married for the wrong reasons (ie lust, fear of rejection, pregnancy, etc). Not that getting married young can't work out (my grandparents were 16), but I can see how those 4 years change me and how much better of a decision I made when I got married at 23.

I will be asking my girlfriend to marry me very soon. She is 25 and I am 24. By the time we actually get married I figure we'll be 26 or 27.

I recently asked my professor who is also a marriage councilor the same question, and his response was- "well, it doesn't really matter the age of the person, rather, it's the age of the relationship that is important". He said that a few crucial mile stones would surly tell if you and your partner would stand the test of time, like if you've seen each other sick, without a job, or even if you liked your soon to be in laws. That's the best advice I've ever received, hope its helpful!

Up to you but it is easier to reach a lot of your goals sometimes before a major commitment.
