I used to have dreams and things that I wanted to work toward and achieve things but now I don't even know what I want and what it will take to make me happy.

slow way down. meditate. notice what you enjoy in your life. do more of that. notice what makes you unhappy. do less of that. it is already in your life. meditation is what i suggest to discover yourself and your desires and motivation.

Your question should be: Why have you stopped dreaming? Why don't you have goals? Is it laziness or disappointment in not achieving things in your past. If I felt like that I would start by making a list of people & things I had that make me happy to have them, that may jog your memory about people and things you hope to keep or get in the future.

Well, you gotta find out what makes you happy, first of all. Sports, art, others, being alone, traveling, internet, watching movies, animals, anything!! That's basically all you need to do. But make sure it is a healthy thing. It's not good to be a sadist!!!! >:o Once you figure out what makes you happy, then strive to fulfill that happiness! That's the only advice I have for you.

I am going thru the same thing, but you need to keep in mind is that no one else can change your life but you. And build the courage to change the direction your going. Maybe take some time off to get your thoughts together.... What could you see yourself doing in the next 5 yrs? My issue is that I have a family and I dont have much time to continue college, but I am determind to do it even if it takes longer then it should. Every drop helps.... dont be discouraged! Life is tough but you can do it! Good luck!!!!

I would have to say, go and find someone to be your "therapy helper" and have them coach you on what makes them happy, what they do to stay happy and what they do to find good goals. Find someone who seems to always be happy, I mean if you get a life coach that is always happy, you may find that if you are around someone happy then you will be a happier person....just give it some thought....you may discover something about yourself you never knew as a result.

Doesn't sound good Dude. Are you old enough to give up on life, altogether?
Get out of that slump and find some new goals.

Search your soul. Find things that you enjoy doing and see if you can find a career that incorporates that.
