When they don't always find jobs for you right away, and never respond back after you have been with out work for awhile.
Also why is it smaller companies or temp agencies appeal the claims?

Don't you have to work a certain length of time to qualify for unemployment? How long do most people work at temp agencies? Aren't there lots of breaks between assignments?

People that I've known that work temp agencies are usually signed up with several in the hopes to get enough assignments.

Large companies don't bother to appeal claims because it ain't worth their time. Smaller companies tend to take the time.

I had no problem with unemployment the last time I was out of work and my unemployment claim was against a temp agency.

The only thing that I know of is in TX you have to give them a minimum of 3 days to place you in another position. Of course I was in my assignment for over a year before everyone was laid off. Not sure how much of a difference your time with the temp company makes.

The reason is, they don't want to pay. Doesn't make any difference what they want though, if you were laid off. As long as you haven't quit or gotten fired and have enough time in, you will get your benefits. Many hope you won't answer the appeal.
