I've never heard of anyone dying of a broken rib cage. The only way a broken rib cage could cause death is if it punctured his heart or lung or other vital organ. I'm assuming that didn't happen, so no. Alone, it isn't a fatal injury. He will be in a pretty good amount of pain though. Hope he doesn't get a cold! Coughing will be a b*tch!

Sometimes broken ribs can cause internal bleeding because they puncture other organs. If there is no internal bleeding then he'll be fine. He's gonna be in a lot of pain but he'll definitely survive.

I'm assuming he is already in the hospital...But he should be fine, pending the fact that his ribs didn't puncture any of his organs. This doesn't mean that he would die if they did it just means that he would be at greater risk and the docs would have to go in and surgically repair it.

Yeah he will be fine. The only time you really have to worry about broken ribs is if they puncture his lungs or heart. But if he just broke the ribs he will be fine.

Is he at the hospital right now? If he is then his chances are good that he will make it. If he is not in the hospital or have seen a doctor about this condition, then you may want to call a doctor or something.

he will be in alot of pain.every move etc..he will heal as long as he hasnt raptured any organs..it takes a long time to heal ribs especially a rib cage but my opinion he really needs to get some medicine to help him with the pain.

If the ribs didn't puncture any internal organs, he would have a better chance.
