I like names like
Rosemary Louise Paul
Claudia Juliette Paul
Giovanna Lenore Paul
Elliot Henry Paul
Leonardo James Paul
I also like names like Jane, Joseph, Oliver, Magdelena, Harriet, Josephine, Melvin, Richard, Fredrick, Franklin, etc.
Why does everyone hate these classic names I cant for the life of me figure it out. I am not saying trendy and new-ish names are bad but, these names are just so classy i dont see how you could hate them

I love old names!
I really like Rosemary, but I don't care for the sound of Louise. Personally, Louisa sounds more old-fashioned and soft. I would have gone with Rosalie Louisa Paul instead.
I don't like Claudia because of the "awww" sound in the middle, and the 'cl' sound at the front. It's the same reason I can't stand Chloe and Claire; they sound icky to me. Juliette is a very nice middle name; it's an unusual one for sure.
Giovanna is exotic, and flows well with Lenore. Good strong choice!
I don't like Elliott because of ET, but in and of itself, it is a nice name. I especially like it with your last name. Elliott Paul has a nice ring to it.
I LOVE Leonardo; it's 100000x better than Leonard. And James is my all time favorite boy name.
I don't care for Harriet, Richard, Melvin, or Frederick. It's not because they're old-fashioned, I don't like how they sound out loud. I prefer Henrietta, Riordan, Malachy, and Finley instead.
I think people think of older names as stuffy and too normal for their suupyr you'nyqua baby, but at this point, Aiden is more normal than Oliver, Ava is way more common than Rosalie.
My favorites for kids are:
James Kenneth Huff
Avery Jane Huff
Theodore Alan Huff
Daphne Margaret Huff
Sebastian Milo Huff
Charlotte Isobel Huff
so I definitely know where you're coming from. *g*

Wow, thank you for asking that question. It seems like most people like weird names and regular names spelled different. I love the older traditional names. Especially if you are naming a child after a grandparent or great grandparent. Keeping family names from generation to generation is one of the sweetest things a person can do for the older generation. As for the names you picked out, I'm not too sure about the Giovanna Lenore but I love the other 2. As for the boys names, people will think you're a big Leonardo DiCaprio fan. So if you are, that's a good one. Oliver is also a good one. You know what's strange? Many people are changing names up so much because they want to be different and I think you're on the right track.........stay with older traditional names and it will be different.

I'm with you I tend to lean towards the classic names and you may not say the trendy names are bad but I will.. I've been reading through some of the lists of possible baby names people are posting on here cringing and feeling horrible for these poor kids that are going to have to carry these names the rest of their lives.

I love classic names myself, at the very least classic SOUDNING names. My children are Leah Allene, aged 13 years, David Joseph, aged 17 1/2 months, and Cara Lynn due in a few weeks.

I think that most of these are cool names. They are classic which means they should fit in "any time". There are some that I would not pick, but that is just my opinion. You might want to pair a name like that up with a "modern" name like "Emma Jane" or "Emily Giovanna" or something to that effect. Anyway, you shouldn't feel alone;). Good luck and GOD bless!

Im working in a hospital...and many times our patients comes with classic names ending up having same name persons next to each other or a nurse with same name...even a doctor end up with exactly the same first & last name with a patient....I may like the sound of classic names but I would prefer something unique but not weird name for my child...

Not trying to be mean here but i for one just dont like old names or as you call them classical. I like names that are not heard 50 times a day from 50 diffrent places i like names that not many people have heard of and that is original. I personally believe that you should give a kid a name they will want to be called when their 50 it should not just be a name you like, after all 60 years from now you might not be here to even hear the name but your kid will be so give them a name that will be liked both now and then and not one thats gonna be so outta date you see it on 5 million tomb stones. Sorry not trying to be mean but people just need to grow up and realize that times have changed and names are changing.

I like Claudia or Juliette as a first name, I think that combining the two sounds weird with a last name like Paul.
Joseph is also another nice name for a boy.

I love classic names , myself, I named my daughter a classic name, I don't really like Melvin. sounds a bit on the nerdy side and would wonder if the poor kid might get made fun of. I really like the name Luke. ps. not to insult the name Melvin, but for some reason it just makes me think of nerdy.
