I know some states allow men to sign over their parental rights before the child is born.

I'm having a baby with a no-good deadbeat and want to see if he'll sign and free my of a stress-filled life....PLEASE HELP!

--> He has four children already and is a terrible parent. On top of that he's already said he doesn't give a sh*% about me or the baby......so I just need to know if this process is possible in MN.

Correction: Minnesota or MN if you like that better. I just want my question answered. What a sorry way to get two points.

While it may or may not be possible, it is not going to happen with out a lawyer.

If you are not married then just dont put him on the birth certificate. He has to prove he is the father if he is not on the birth certificate and this will cost him money so he is less likely to do it, plus in having to prove it he will be required to pay child support and actually take responsibility.

I am not sure how minesota (yes i know its spelled wrong) works but most states dont allow the father to sign anything unless he and the mother are married, before the child is born. If you dont want him to have any rights, just dont put him on the birth certificate. If they ask tell them you dont know or refuse to answer and they will leave it blank. You do not have to name a father, that is your right to keep it secret.
Yes that means that your child wont have a father listed, but it also means less of a hassle when you find a good man who is willing to play daddy and wants to be a part of your childs life.

I don't know, but I would call a lawyer in your state for the best answer. Why would you sleep with this guy in the first place?
