Say you have a diagnosed mental illness, and after intense psychological testing the courts were advised that you were NOT a danger to the public, but if you were sent to jail you would be a serious danger to yourself. Say they sent you to jail anyways, for a short term of like 30 days, and you dont eat or drink for several days....what would the jail do?

No, but a whole bunch of other inmates will get your food, and you will make lots of friends.

Did you not hear about Paris? It's BS. If you didn't eat or drink and were a danger to yourself, you'd end up in the psyc. ward, but it's not a ticket out of jail.

You would be place in a LOCKED Psyc ward.
Most likely in a State Hospital or in a Prison ward.
or even in the prison's Infirmary.

the jail would monitor you carefully and maybe put you under a doctor's care there. Probably, because so many people try that old trick, they would just ignore you.

If you started suffering from dehydration, they would send you to the hospital and then when the hospital got them back to health they would send them back to the slammer.

no. they put you in the medical area of the jail, and then you go back to your cell once you are done.
