TheatreDoc is right, something smells fishy here. Also, if you are just starting out it is my personal opinion that you do not need a manager unless you have a career to manage. The same goes for managers as for agents, you do not pay them anything until you get paid from a job. Managers typically get 15% of your pay. Check the manager's acreditation with entities such as http://www.talentmanagers.org/ At least their members promise to abide by a certain code of ethics. Backstage also has a list http://www.backstage.com/bso/rossreports/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003608122&imw=Y but it doesn't mean they are a member of anything.
You really need to be careful going to this audition. Do not go alone, do not sign anything until you've had time to take the contract home and look it over (and check this manager out to make sure he or she is on the up and up). There are lots of unscrupulous people out there, please don't get sucked in by them.
Casual is generally nice casual. I don't know how old you are, but I would dress like you're going out with friends. Sort of to impress, but not like you're trying too hard. As for the snapshot, I would bring a headshot and a 3/4 body shot but if you feel funny about things don't leave the photos with them. Pocket them and leave or don't go in to begin with.
If you know the company name and the individual's names look them up online (general web search) as well as the bbb.org and ripoffreport.com and see what you find. Even if you find nothing it doesn't mean that they didn't close up shop somewhere else and repoen with a new name so just be careful.
Tell us what it is you want in another question and what state you're in and maybe we can tell you the right way to go about making it happen.
best of luck to you

ok. well. I am worried you may be walking into a scam. Talent managers generally charge you money to advise you about your career and try to sell you their headshot photography and resume printing. For all of this you get---NOTHING! So please write to me and tell me who this talent manager is. A snapshot of your head and shoulders I suppose is what they want. Casually is lke going to the mall. Hey, just post the name of the company as additional info on this question. There are several of us who answer questions that are trying to keep people from being scammed.

take in mind what the two people above me said, but go and check it out to have fun. dress casually means look good, not sloppy, but still like you could go to the mall. wear black or tan pants or something, sometimes jeans are too casual unless you can dressthem up and make them look good. wear a comfortable top, and just dress it up with a little jewelry, but nothing too distracting. wear nice shoes, not necessarily heels, but maybe flats or something. wear your hair down or tied back loosly. good luck!
