Better tacticians would have taken over and could have extended the war. Many German Generals hated Hitler because he was making poor decisions, like attacking Russia despite a truce agreement and declaring war against the United States.

Especially toward the end of the war, Germany had a ton of new technology that if it wasn't for America bombing German factories and industry, could have changed the outcome of the war. Some of these technologies include Jet Aircraft (ME 262), Advanced Rocketry (Look up the ME. 163 Komet or the V-1, the first guided missile used in war), Stealth (Germany had a flying wing bomber similar to the B-2 in pre-production stage in 44) and they were near completion on the atomic bomb.

There are at least two possibilities I can think of.

One (the most likely, in my opinion) is business is usual, with the new Fuhrer at the helm (variation: a Fuhrer by committee, with several people pitching in to fill the void). All policies remain in place, with a possible addition of a new round of purges just in case.

The other (much less likely, I feel) is the return of the Junkers, followed by a quick and not very thorough purging of Nazis from the government (much like what happened in West Germany after the war), a peace treaty in the West and possibly joint assault in the East.

The reason I think business as usual is the more likely of the two alternatives is that Adolf Hitler, as important as he was to the Nazi movement, was far from indispensable. By 1941, the Nazis have succeeded in constructing a parallel security system (SS, SD, gestapo, etc.), whose loyalty was first and foremost to the Nazi party and its leadership, not to the German government. Any attempt by the Junkers to take control would face a strong (and armed to the teeth) opposition from the Nazi party and its affiliated security agencies.

If the remaining Nazi regime had been smart, they wouldn't have declared war on American after Pearl Harbor like Hitler did following the Japanese. Does that mean America would have never fought in Europe??? Germany had control of Europe(except for England) long before Pearl Harbor.
Who knows, but I think it all would have still happened.

Well, if the Germans had not given up, the war would have lasted longer, since Hitler acted as a general, giving military commands that were really, really bad decisions. He was a very bad military leader and his poor leadership and directions lead to quicker defeat.
Because they also made the military into subgroups that had to check with Hitler for instructions, they were also handicapped in their command structure.

ill go along with Todd there were far better generals who knew how to fight a war and win if Hitler had of died in 41 then the whole course of history would have changed, Hitler wouldn't of been around to make the mistakes he did and things would have been very different that's for sure

Let's see... Hitler dies...

Oh yeah, Germany sues for peace, admits their mistakes, gives all lands back, pays reperations for war acts, establishes a life care fund for the Jewish community and sends everyone on the planet a gift basket of fresh fruit!

And Eva Braun goes on to have a career as a game show host.

g-day!

Since the Russians were the first to find his body, (and no one really knows for sure about this), my educated guess is that they took his body back to Russia and hid it. Only time and history will tell for sure (if that is what you're asking - what happened to his corpse). Hitler did unspeakable bad things to the Russian people and I can only guess this is their way of revenge.

The Soviet Union could've invaded Germany and the effect of WWII could've been greater or much less the comparable. opposite to primary perception, Hitler invaded the Soviet Union for an fairly stable reason: as a pre-emptive strike. the two countries have been tied to a %. yet have been very suspicious of one yet another, in the back of the borders the two countries have been gearing up for a combat. Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union (being on exact opposite aspects on the political spectrum) have been organic enemies. Stalin's long-term foreign places coverage became into to invade Europe as quickly as the West (Germany and Britain) fought one yet another out. Hitler's Operation Barbarossa became into actual an fantastic offensive. It became into later errors at Moscow and Stalingrad that screwed it up. the comparable reasoning became into utilized to Japan's attack on the U.S. lots of Japan's precise militia officers have been knowledgeable interior the U.S. the guy who masterminded the attack on Pearl Harbor became into Yamamoto who became into knowledgeable on the U.S. Naval college and Harvard college. jap leaders (a minimum of the clever ones) knew that they had purely lost the conflict via attacking Pearl Harbor. even with the reality that, motives why they did it became into the comparable clarification why Germany attacked the Soviet Union: a pre-emptive strike in a conflict that became into sure to happen. the two Germany and Japan attacked first whilst that they had the top hand. no longer precisely dumb acts. If there became into no jap front, photograph an added 7 million German squaddies and greater tens of 1000's of German tanks and plane on the Western front. greater importantly, the place did Germany import maximum of their products from purely before 1941? The Soviet Union. If Germany and the Soviet Union stayed independent with one yet another then Germany could've enjoyed infinite factors of fabric from the Soviet Union. An Allied victory with out the jap front = impossible.
