that when I call some business or call to ask a question to state or federal agency, I seem to talk to a person who can't speak english? This happens to alot of people I know. You can barely understand them. Why can't they hire people who speak english clearly?

acutally, NAFTA has nothing to do with outsourcing phone opperators or computer tech help! the reason is that big companies outsource their employee's in order to cut down on operational expenses such as payroll, health care, and workers' unions. most of them are actually very intelligent people, it just sucks that those jobs could be used here in the US.

companies tend to "outsource" their customer service ppl out to foreign countries b/c it's cheaper. Labor laws here in the states requires companies to pay their employees more than in other countries. its all about the money hun.
