You dont have children because YOU want them and they make YOU complete and YOU happy and you you you.
You have children because you love them, theyre an expression of the love between you and your husband and of the love in your home. You have them because you want to further the next generation and provide for them whatever your life has. You have children because you die to yourself and your wants, and live exclusively for them.
Just the fact that you feel the need to justify yourself to us indicates just how truely not ready you are.

well, geez, you don't have to convince us! lol!
How old are you? Are you married? How stable is your job? Does your man have a stable, pays-the-bills job? Could you quit your job to stay home w/ a child if you waited a few years? Are you going to have to put the child in daycare for life?
We don't know what or who is keeping you from having a child! And if your childish past is oh, 6 months ago.....you can see how ppl might not be convinced yet.

because having a car and a home doesn't mean you're ready for a child to take care of. And fantasizing about a beautiful child is a sign you aren't ready. Nobody needs a child and until you're ready to pay for all the bills they bring, to constantly be waking up to take care of them, to having someone whose only for of communication is variations of a cry.
You don't have a kid when you've grown up a whole lot, you have a kid when you've grown up.

Dont have a child just to have a child!!
decide why you both want one first!!
a child adds more to your life..remember that
Wait until you find out how you want to have the child. There are so many options. I would research pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and giving birth. Make all these decisions ahead of time. Get your body and husbands body ready for the baby.
like I said.....dont have a child just to have a child. Let it be a drive in your soul and a will from both of you to promise to keep the life of a child the best it can be and work as a team through the process.
plan who is going to care for the kid when you are trying to pay for that house and car etc.....
too many people I know dont plan to have a kid...thats for them and it might be for you but I am a planner and thats one thing we vowed to each other...we were going to plan it ....

How does your 'man' feel about this and how long have you been together? Sometimes its better to enjoylife first. Me and my fiance have been 2gether for 4 years. Getting married next year. I would LOVE a baby NOW!!!! But, I just now that babies come in marriage, where there is a secure grounding and loving atmosphere.
