Yes, it is very possible for your water to break without having contractions. Depending on how long in your pregnancy you have left, you could have either gone into early labor, or are in labor now and the contractions will start soon. Some women don't feel pain for hours after their water breaks while others feel pain before their water breaks. I would go to the hospital and they will tell you if you are indeed about to give birth or if something else is going on. GOOD LUCK

If your bed was soaked, then your water probably broke or you're leaking. It is possible for your water to break & you not have contractions right away. If it is clear liquid, that's good. Any color of green & you should be worried. Have you contacted your OB? When your water breaks, the baby is no longer protected from infection & I'd think that they'd want you to come in or go for delivery. How far along are you? CALL YOUR OB!

The contractions will probably start any time. If they don't you should call your doctor and they'll induce labor.
That pink fluid is your water breaking or maybe in your case leaking. It's amniotic fluid mixed with a little blood.

Yes your water broke...it could be a while before you start contractions. My water broke and it was a few hours later when I started having contractions. Get your butt to the hospital. With your membrane gone you are open for infections.

Go now to the hospital!!!
My water broke when I was making dinner one night at 37 weeks. I had no pain, no problems. My husband drove me to the hospital, still no pain. When I arrived at the hospital, I was 9 cm dilated and ready to start pushing. The doctor didn't make it in time.
My daughter was born an hour later. Go now....stop reading this GO NOW!! Oh, congratulations Mom!

I would go to the doctor as quickly as possible. If your water did break and you are not having contractions there could be problems.

YES, it's a common condition, but once the water breaks, infection can set in, so many doctors like to either induce labor, or somehow prevent infection.

Get to the hospital or ring them. It is quite possible for your waters to have broken yes. The pressure may have just built up so much in your womb that the only way for something to go is out. If you are close to your due date I would definately get to the hopspital, good luck! x x
