Well maybe you can ask a friend or a family member to watch after your space where you live in that apartment when he goes to look at the apartment. so that, you can see if he is going to steal some of your things or not.

He has a key most likely and depending on the terms of your lease, he may have a right to show it without your permission. You should check out the terms of your lease. This is written into many because the landlord makes money off the unit being occupied and the sooner he can get it filled the better.

That doesn't give him the right to take your things or anything like that, but you may have given them permission and not even know it. The person who owns the property is almost always legally allowed to enter. Courtesy isn't a legal right. If he's showing your apartment, keep anything you wouldn't want a stranger to see out of sight. Most people just want to see the unit, and not go through your things. In cities with a tight real rental market this is simply the accepted way of doing business.

Just because he can doesn't mean he will. You'd be amazed how far you can go with asking nicely to work with your schedule.

Sorry, you're not right.

The landlord must generally give you at least 24 hours notice to enter the property except for emergencies. Your lease should have a clause to this effect. If you don't have a lease, state law will prevail and most states dictate 24 hours advance notice.

You do NOT have the right to deny permission, however, at reasonable hours. Reasonable is generally interpreted as regular business hours or loosely between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Nor do you have the right to demand that he only enter when you are at home. As long as he has given the proper notice, he may enter without further permission from you.

This is very typical and usually done. And to tell you the truth, I think he is being pretty reasonable. If you are moving out at the end of this month, it means that he has 20 days to find someone to fill the apartment or he loses some amount of rent. That's not a lot of time and you're telling him that he only has two days of the week to do it. I'd a little perturbed too.

You do not have to miss school but you cannot make him work on the weekend. If nothing else works, giving him a spare key so he can show it when you are not home may be the best option for everyone.
