He got his ACT results today....and he got a 32. He has a 4.0 GPA. My mom is ecstatic about it. He basically can apply to and get into any college he wants and I imagine he'll get a lot of scholarships. Why does everything come so easily to him?

Meanwhile, I'm at a 4th tier university in my 3rd year and I don't even know what I wanna be yet.

Yes, but you are a nicer (or better looking, or more athletic) person! I'll bet that when you meet your potential spouse, they won't be able to imagine what anyone sees in him.

As to knowing what you want to do, that puts you in a category with most people at your stage in life, even if they don't admit it. I always tell my students that the perfect job for them may not yet have been invented, and when it comes along, you'll know it. Meanwhile, the person who thinks they know exactly what they want to do runs a risk of burning out very quickly, and may be afraid to admit it after all the hype they got initially.

brother as long as you compare yourself with someone you are bound to the way u feel today. There is only one persone identicle to you with whom you can compare and that is you. If you choose some activity then compare it with your past performance give your best and you will always be happy when you compare it (with yourself). Remember the two persons even though twins can not and should not be compared with each other. You are a unique persone why loose this by comparing with others. Hope you will understand that you are not comparable and you are the most presious person in your life. You should be proud of your brother and should be delighted to have such an intelligent brother. Remember that we produce results and we can always improve them. Only some silly people has given some yardstick and has decided that it is called 4th grade. The important point is you learnt some thing and can reproduce it. I think you are the best at least you know where you stand.
regards

Please don't compare yourself to your brother. It sounds pretty good to me that you are in your 3rd year of university but it is harder for some people than others. I am trying to get to university and finding it hard but I just keep at it. Some people are just academic and pick things up really quick. I am sure your parents don't think any the less of you and are just as proud. It is easy to go a bit overboard when someone gets great results I am sure there is something that you are better at than he is, maybe you are better looking and have a nicer personality? Not everything is about achievement, if you are a good loving person then thats better than the best qualifications in the world. And don't worry about what you want to be yet, that will come with time and maybe some research. Good luck with everything - you sound great to me!

Stop comparing yourself to your brother. You are two individuals who have different personalities and strengths. Maybe he is a little bit more academic than you...who cares. You should be proud that you have completed 3 years of college. It's okay that you don't know what you want to do career-wise. You'll figure it out. I bet there are several things that you do better than your brother. Celebrate your differences. Please do not worry about who is better at what. Just do your very best, and you will succeed. Be proud of your brother too! I bet he is proud of you!!!
