If a guy says he has been married and has not, he is an idiot. You would not say that you fought in the war unless you did. This is a huge red flag. Stay away from this guy.
Unfortunately there are men who will say anything to get you into bed. Be careful not to give yourself to someone that does not give to you as much as you give to them.

How do you know he has never been married? If you're interested in hooking up with him, I would recommend that you do a background check. That should include an unannounced visit to his home, first while he's at work, and then when he's home. You might be surprised at what/who you find there. His friends may also be a good source of information.
Personally, I wouldn't get involved with someone who starts out lying; it will only get worse.

Some people consider long relationships marriages. My sister was with a guy for 10 years and she still refers to him as her ex husband even though they never made a trip down the aisle.

Depending on how old he his, he probably said it, to try and use it as a excuse as to why he has been single for so long.
I would walk away from this guy, if he has already started lying to you, the rest of the relationship isnt looking to good.
Find someone who is completely honest and trustworthy.

AAAAAAH-aaaaaah oooohgeeeeee!!! Maybe people r more forgiving of a divorce, than they are of bacholorhood!!! Some times they get really noisy, offer unwanted suggestions, some people just don't understand, why everyone dosen't live, think&breath like they do!!!!

becaus being divirced willimply that he has knowledge and is able to have a meaningful relationship that is of a duration longer than a couple weeks sound like hes a playa id ask him point blank what the deal is

How old his he? Maybe he feels that he is too old to not have already been married by now....so he told you that he was divorced...to make you believe that he was married at one time.

Because he probably was married and he isn't telling you the truth, or he was in a long relationship and he considered it like a marriage.
