I doubt the "progressives" who placed Stalin, in power, didn't expect him to murder millions of people.

Before you jump on Soros and Michael Moore's bandwagon, maybe you should find out where they are taking you before you sign on.

Oh, you don't believe giving up your freedom, allowing the govt to re-distribute wealth, taking from the successful to give to people who don't try, etc will snowball into a dictatorship nightmare? Of course, trust in government will prevent that from happening. Right!

Some people will never see the parallel.
But for sure there are people, mainly our politicians, who think they can spend your money better then you can.
They will always take care of themselves first, Castro, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, countless 3rd world punk warlords the most extreme of cases, and our career politicians in their suit and ties and ladies business suits.
I don't like them.
What makes me nervous is when they want to disarm the law abiding populace.

Those who understood communism fled to Florida when Castro came to power. Many of the people, like current people in the US, were naive and thought some sort of utopia was on the way when the communists took over. Today, many people think Hillary has the answers. If she gets into power, they will see their mistake after a while, but it may be too late. Actually, no one's really very interested in Hillary. She has an empty resume. They want Bill back in the White House. He will be making all the decisions.

You and that i know how undesirable some think of capitalism is. although, they're following the objectives and the ensures heard with out being knowledgeable as to how getting administration, as Castro did, works. definite, it may result very unfavorable to the extreme. i've got not got self belief in organic capitalism to any extent further than i've got self belief in organic socialism. As a reasonable conservative, i've got self belief interior the compassion we would desire to continually carry for the disabled who're no longer able to artwork, no remember if that's a psychological or actual incapacity. i've got self belief we would desire to continually be assured our elderly are respected and cared for, I additionally carry that our veterans who fought to maintain us unfastened, would desire to by no potential would desire to be homeless. I concern the expansion of the social classes we already have or the addition of latest classes. adequate is adequate! it seems the liberals have incredibly replaced with the aid of fact the days of John Kennedy to develop into greater extreme. purely from lots of the failings I examine right here and on different boards. It seems they they carry further and extra to a socialist schedule. How a ways could they bypass? Democratic socialism is purely around the corner from communistic socialism.

Perhaps they are relieved of moral aversions to the atrocities because they believe it's for the "greater good". Of course, that is very twisted logic...but we ARE talking about libs, mind you

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ---C.S. Lewis

Remind you of any government you know?

Who cares? A bunch of old blustering men in Miami? Never did a thing but have meetings and talk. Big deal. Wait him out. Like the USSR they will find they can't eat sand and they will come around.
As for the rest of your rant and rave, was it aimed at anyone in particular or were you just sounding off?

I don't care about Cuba.... except that one day I might take a vacation there. Otherwise, I don't care about the politics in Cuba. It really doesn't affect our own politics (it might effect candidates' promises for the duration of their campaigns... and after the election they can forget them...but what do I care?).
