im planning on building a new home and i like to do things a bit difrent. insted of doing a standard two storie home i was thinking is it posable to have 2 levels of basement? i was thinking of having the first portion only say half baired so there would still be windows, if higher then normal. but then have another level of basment below that. the property im going to be building on is well above the water table and has a good slope for water run off so im not vary conserned about flooding. is there anything else i should be conserned about?

Well if you are concidering going deeper than normal, you need to worry about structure issues. If going in deeper the supporting concrete walls need to be a thicker gauge, and of course that's going to be costly. Talk to a reputable contractor. I am an Interior Designer and worked with some contractors, they will be able to tell you what issues you can run across. I don't think that it would be a very good idea. Not that it's not a neat idea, just the money and risks that are involved. Good luck!!
