Many of those who bash Fox News are constantly calling it a propaganda machine. I guess all the other networks are considered conveyers of truth. Please enlighten me.

Holy Cow, I have a bachelor's degree in journalism. I'm pretty sure I know the difference between hard news reporting and talking heads yammering about their political positions. In this question, I am referring to the latter, but I do have a clear notion of the difference. Do you?

I don't call any of them conveyers of truth. The fact is the media in this country is the tool of the conservative corporations which own them.Whatever you hear from them is just another version of the party line, and that party line is the Republican talking points.

A liberal point of view is allowed now and again,to give the impression that the "liberal" media is out to undermine the country. It's a very effective way to control the sheeple.

you may say what you want, and your instructor can say that what you assert is stupid. it extremely is stupid, because of the fact it extremely is by no skill sturdy for harmless human beings to die. no you may even have the skill to comb off the dying of civilians as not important. It coach that conservatives do not possibly value human existence.

Because Fox News is the one network among the media that takes a semi-conservative stance on things. As to your question, well, it has to do with the perspective of the person doing the reporting.

I'm conservative, but in all fairness, conservative pundits are guilty of doing the exact same thing. This is why I don't believe 90% of what I hear from the so-called objective media.

because in regards to the war on terror the Republicans have failed their country.

we are the worlds only super power and the conservatives couldn't even kill a few guys in caves no matter how many years we gave them.

so.. when a news source claims that the bush administration is doing a good job, the vast majority of Americans consider it "propaganda".
you are now "enlightened"
:)

Most of the ideas I've seen from either side are extremely socially irresponsible. Big government spending, welfare, and borrowing money from China in order to wage an unnecessary war are all irresponsible. Both sides have their propaganda machines, with FOX news being one of the more notorious ones...

When we take tax dollars and spend them on programs to betteer the people, THAT is social responsibility

When we run up a TEN TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT (bush)

THAT IS GROSS NEGLIGENCE and those that turn a blind eye to this ARE FOOLS
and they help the Propaganda machine continue to roll right through our childrens future

both are propaganda when they are slogans and not fully reasoned ideas presented for debate
FOX News seems to be particularly negligent in presenting fully fleshed-out arguments and prefers to limit debate to 15 second sound bites
