It has a lot to do with people not practicing birth control, or not being educated on it. Lets face it people aren’t going to stop having sex, even more if they are married. Birthcontrol education would defiantly help and give them some free condoms or other means of control. After all if they can’t even afford food I doubt they could afford condoms or birth control pills.
I know the Red Cross and others are trying to help people understand the importance of Safe sex. Even more for some countries where there are many cases of STDs. I read an article that they some organization teaching some men over in Africa how to use condoms and the red cross or someone like them was giving out free condoms.
In other cases it might be against their religion like Catholics of course it still a bit selfish to be pumping out kids when you can not afford them. In the olden days people liked to have a lot kids. For one back in those days one would be lucky if 3 out of 8 children reached it to adult hood and went on to have their own families. I suppose it may even be true today in some poor country that don’t have adequate health care/medication. Lack of poor nutrition or starvation. Having more kids to work the farm or whatever job the family did. Of course if you’re so poor you can’t even feed your family how you will pay crops? Etc.

It might not be education , maybe something more like social/religious reasons. Because as you know a lot of religions don't approve of abortion and in some countries birth control is considered a form of abortion.
I do not agree with that, but that's the case. And even though you do not want to hear the education factor, it really does have to do with it, because they might not know how to use contraception methods.
It could also be that men are too selfish and only care about pleasure, and don't use a condom (even though it's the easiest thing in the world to use)

this could properly be a contemporary information headline: 'Canada: Richer than u.s. and greater efficient than Europe' simply by fact the u . s . a . is a poorer usa than Canada, only write down what you do: a million. What time you awaken 2. What you have for breakfast 3. the way you shuttle to college 4. What your college is like 5. What you have for dinner 6. What you do for entertainment 7. What time you pass to mattress this is only that straightforward.

I know there are many different reasons.
Ones I've come across is many 3rd world people get excited about family and kids. In India, I was often asked how many brothers and sisters I have, and I tell them one sister. They each were astonished. Average size in 3rd world countries is 4 or 5 kids.
Also, mortality rates are higher, and elderly need to be taken care of.
I do notice many people in these countries can't afford kids, and they are put out in the streets.
Dalit women (Dalits are the lowest group of people in the Hindu caste system in India) are often raped.
Industrial nations, we are too busy for family. Europe, America, Japan, for example.
Many reasons. Check out the background of each individual country and group of people.
Without following Jesus and living life the way God made us to do, complications arise.

Most of these countries, particularly in Latin America, are very Catholic and birth control is taboo. Also, there are high incidences of rape and no abortion available, so many woman have no choice but to bare children. Poverty ridden countries also have high mortality rates. Many children may not live to adulthood, so a strategy of having lots of children over a period of time is developed to increase the likelihood that some will make it.

"traditional family values," essentially - just keep pumpin out the kids because your ancestors did.
In self-sustaining agricultural societies, big families made sense; more hands helped in the food creating/gathering process, but only a few survived to reproduction age, and those that did supported the parents in old age.
In the past 40 years, that balance was destroyed. Traditional family practices were and remain out of sync with modern technology/economy (especially the economy).

Children are an asset and can take care of you in your old age. If you might lose some to childhood illness you would need to have more. In farm communities they are labor and cheap since you don't even buy them food or shoes.

Because they don't have access to birth control. If they can't even afford shoes or food, they can't go out and buy condoms.
Also, if they're Catholic, it's against their religion to use birth control.
