Horatio has a son who is now in prison. there were about 4 guys trying to escape while transferring to prison, Horatio's son was one of them, but not intending to escape, just get out of danger. one of the escapees made a deal with Horatio since it was his 3rd strike, he agreed to be his sons bodyguard in prison. the main guy/escapee put out a post he would pay 1million to whom ever helped him escape during the transfer. so a car wreck was staged to stop the bus and a riot broke out to help them escape. the security guard was attacked and could not focus and fired a shot. he thought he shot an innocent bystander, but turned out the bystander was the girlfriend of the escapee and she was actually shot by another person who saw her signal for the escapee to get in her car. she was deaf. Horatio's son turned himself in. while in custody, he was taken hostage and hidden within the prison. so the prison was in lock down till they found him safely. one escapee was killed, the main one was caught, the other is the bodyguard for Horatio's son and his son was the fourth escapee. their all counted for. at the end Horatio tells his son who he is. and the million dollars was paid to the guy for helping them to escape in heroin, so he was arrested for possession of drugs.
