about 25 years ago i remember a chalk that i paid .10 for at a store boy howdy , this chalk was look just like a piece of chalk that you would write with, you could take it home and just put a mark on your cabnits or any where and you wouldnt beleave the drifference , it would kill 1000 of cock roaches and other bugs in a matter of a few hours. I have been looking for this stuff and i cannot find it anywhere on the little box it came in was only written in japanese or chinese .and i know it wasnt boric acid. If anyone knows what im talking about please let me know.thank you.

I agree with the first answer. I believe it was made by "Bengal". Havent seen the stuff since the early 80's though.

yep and Nope and applaud # 1.

BTW Boric acid isn't strictly a POISON to roaches; though it is toxic to mammals. It's more an irritant. Beyond that, and with no offense meant to you; I'm amazed at the answers to questions like this, and to manufacturers who TOUT "BAIT" to attract and kill. The major focus should be "REPEL"

On a lighter note :)......They were here long before us; survive every attempt at erradication; and may likely be the final inhabitants of the planet.

It was probably DDT which was outlawed in the US about that long ago.
