I'm almost 18 and I will be hanging out with a bunch of my friends and my boyfriends friends on halloween. I want a cute costume that is either inexpensive or homemade - but I don't want one of the crappy ones you buy in a bag from walmart.
Any suggestions?

Try ebay. Buy a cheap latex dress, a nice pair of stillettoes, and a whip. You'll have a wonderful outfit that will have all the men drooling at your feet. Especially if you shine the latex.

Suggest you use your imagination and go to WalMart. You can get a slip or a chemise and some trim and make a flapper dress. Wear fishnet stocikings. If you could get a fluffy boa, that would be a nice touch and long beads. You can sometimes find some pretty neat stuff at thrift stores. Wigs, jewelry and clothes you could alter.

Yeah, I have some good ideas. Don't go with anything slutty like what everyone dresses in in Mean Girls. Try something classic. You could be a vampire (little black dress, heels, flowy cloak thing, fake teeth) a pirate (one earring, wedges or converse, skull-design top with shorts) mix and match (spiderweb tights - you can get some cool ones in Claires Accessories - pumps, a denim skirt, a pyramid belt and a bright top) or just glam it up as a model (shorts or a mini or tight jeans, a cute vest or t-shirt, wedges and whatever jewellry you want)

A fad going on in our school for the girls is a dark angel or angel(or the pair, if you want to go trick or treating with friends). I say if you do want to go as this and if you want it to be home designed, I say dress up like Lolita or Gothic Lolita. Most people design their costumes if they go Lolita (instead of buying some expensive stuff) A good site to go to for this is a Gothic and Lolita site called Broken Dolly. If you want to design the costume, I say just think Victorian style clothing and look around on some sites for inspiration and stuff like that. Hope I helped. ^_^

one good one is a french maid,IDK But thats like the only one that i could think of on th spot, and also i have no clue what selections stores have now at the stores, another might be an angel, or maybe a half angel half devil, IDK???? btw the french maid costume is basicallyaid like the black dress little white apron in a short sexy mini skirt
